Orbital Dynamics is the sole manufacturer of the DataStorm Tactical Command Center (TCC). Motosat made the satellite antenna mobile, and Orbital Dynamics made it self-contained and portable or trailer-mounted.

The Tactical Command Center is a fully functional fall-back communications center for use when usual methods of communication fail. Communications with the TCC are unaffected by power outages, downed towers, and can be moved upwind from HAZMAT situations when fixed stations can not.

The TCC is constructed of welded aluminum with a proprietary welded aluminum frame. The case contains lift handles, Whelen^® LED warning lights, all necessary switching and power supplies to allow for battery power or line voltage, network equipment, a DataStorm XF2 or XF3, D3 positioner and iDirect 3100 modem. The trailer carries the TCC case, is equipped with all required lighting, a shelf for mounting a generator, 13 inch radial tires and wheels and a torsion axle with heavy duty trailing arms to handle the increased side load of the larger tires and wheels. A dolly for moving the trailer without hitching it to a vehicle is optional. In addition, since we build each one of these units, we can customize paint, decals, or add any feature you would like to included, such as cargo hooks for helicopter delivery and retrieval.

Any device that can be connected to the Internet can be connected to this satellite system. Orbital Dynamics offers those listed below, and others such as trans-global video conferencing are available through others. Bandwidth tailored to your needs is available on a web interface and can be designed completely by the user without waiting for a human response.

Orbital Dynamics is a MotoSat Authorized Dealer, and we sell the entire MotoSat product line.* However, we specialize in the XF2 and XF3 commercial satellite systems. The MotoSat XF system is a dramatic leap forward in satellite communications. An onboard GPS system pinpoints the system, and sets elevation and polarization. A DVB receiver identifies satellites and ensures that the correct satellite is located and tuned in. Satellite acquisition can be accomplished in as little as 90 seconds. There is no magnetic compass to set or to subject the system to drift, and no magnetic variation to account for.

Orbital Dynamics strongly recommends EtherSat bandwidth for use with these two systems. Ethersat has had the most consistent record of "get what you pay for" bandwidth. EtherSat bandwidth uses the very reliable and rugged iDirect modem family. Bandwidth is available in speeds faster than a T1 connection.

Both systems are capable of operating in fringe areas of the satellite footprint, with very little rain-fade problem. The 1.2 meter XF3 is the best available configuration for low signal areas and has the greatest capacity for making the best use of bandwidth for any Internet application. Many configurations are available on a special order basis. Either system is ideal for the following solutions.
